I sat on the patio sipping my coffee. The bike rack filled up quickly. The sights and sounds of people heading out on their Sunday adventures filled the air. I put my feet up, my sunglasses down, and I took it all in. The sun peeked through the clouds and rested on my knee. My heart skipped a beat. It was good.
I’ve been in a rut for far too long. It’s taken me a while to catch this dream and put it into motion, but now it’s real. I’m getting back to my little mountain town existence. I’m throwing myself back in the game. I’m taking a chance and rolling with the outcome. Life is far too precious to wait around until the time is right, because the time is RIGHT NOW.
Am I running away? Absolutely not. I’m running towards something beautiful. This is me, love it or leave it, and it’s always been me. Nothing else matters when you’re true to yourself. Sharp tongues will sting and words will hurt, but nothing will take away who I am at the core of all this. And I’m getting ready to be better than ever. You’ll see.
